Our mission is to forward the understanding and treatment of obesity and related metabolic disorders (i.e., insulin resistance, glucose intolerance, diabetes, dyslipidemia). A major focus includes disorders of “fat” – including adiposopathies and dyslipidemias. We use a multidisciplinary approach that combines basic and translational research with clinical expertise. Our ultimate goal is to develop more effective strategies for the prevention and treatment of obesity, disorders of “fat,” and their complications.
